Over 60s Christmas Party” organised by Garve and District Community Council. £1,000

“Over 60s Christmas Party” organised by Garve and District Community Council.  £1,000 was allocated to this event, which was successfully held in 2014.

Well a hundred percent behind this one  but i  think £1000 is far to little i need a bigger dinner and more drink next year.

I will give this one 10/10 You ?

Achnasheen and Strathvaich Gun Club Regeneration awarded £15.000

“Achnasheen and Strathvaich Gun Club Regeneration” proposed by the Gun Club.  A sum of £15,000 was awarded to the club to acquire improved facilities.

Well this is local and if you shoot ? does nothing for me but it is not in Strathpeffer so it ticks the box's
I note, we don't know what the money was spent on? or has it been spent.

What criteria must be demonstrated?

Need :Demonstrate that there is a clear need for
the project

Community Use Demonstrate the likely extent of community use
of the proposed project or facility.

Community Involvement Demonstrate that the project is already supported
by committed and resourceful individuals.

Value Demonstrate that the requested funding has
been carefully costed and represents value for
money. The budget should be realistic and quotes
sought from multiple sources.

But i will give it 7/10 as it is local and i am sure it will be open to all.

Moving Strathgarve Primary Forward Over £10,000 was awarded to this project

“Moving Strathgarve Primary Forward” – proposed by the parents association.  Over £10,000 was awarded to this project which included a number of proposals including £3,200 for computer tablets for the pupils, £1,500 for transport for the pupils to attend various recreational events, £810 for a school trip for 3 pupils to the Scripture Union Outdoor Centre, and £5,000 for play equipment to be provided at the school.

Well this one ticks all the Funding Criteria box's

So 10/10 for this one or do you think different ?

“Hydrotherapy for the Highlands” – A donation of £5,000 was awarded to this local charity,

“Hydrotherapy for the Highlands” – A donation of £5,000 was awarded to this local charity, supporting and maintaining the Puffin Pool hydrotherapy facility in Dingwall that is used by a number of residents within the community.

Well for this one i don't know how it is covered by the  Funding Criteria ?
but is it ?

I will give it 5/10 what do you think, as it is you money ?

Kinlochluichart Church

“Kinlochluichart Church” – this project aimed to improve the toilet and catering facilities at the church, but at the time of the application there was insufficient detail to award funding.

What will not be funded?
Projects with the following characteristics will not be funded;
• Projects of no benefit to the areas defined above
• National or regional charities with no independent office in the Garve and District Community Council area
• Projects that are funded by the local authority or other statutory bodies
• Improvements to land that is not open to the general public
• Sponsorships
• Projects promoting political activities
• Religious groups
• Deficit or retrospective funding (i.e. for activities that have already taken place)
• Services or facilities which the Lochluichart Community Trust already supports
• Projects considered by the Lochluichart Community Trust (acting reasonably) to be adverse to its interest
in the wind farm.

So Kinlochluichart Church is part of a Religious group

So a big fat 0/10 for this ? what do you think is the church skint!  or does it need our help?

Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club Project 2015 £8000

Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club Project 2015 £8000 received £8000 of your money why ? it has spent it on   (Gordon MacKenzie outlined the progress at Strathpeffer Golf Club following the award of LCT funding – existing carpets have been cleaned, new carpets ordered, plumbing, electrics and decorating improved, glass-washer and refrigerator acquired and website re-vamped).Now according to there press release the money was to be spent on  (“Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club Project 2015″ was awarded £8,000 to improve its clubhouse catering facilities.) i don't see much catering improvements on the statement  by Mr Mackenzie to the board on the 24th February 2015

There had been an increase in members from the Garve area, and coaching for young players had been arranged. So kids are going to get coaching!!!? well first you will have to be a member of this little group.
Type                      Annual Fee
Full                                   £ 365
Senior                               £ 285
Junior Category 1              £ 160
Junior Category 2              £ 50
Student                             £175

So at first to get any benefit for our money we will have to fork out membership of any thing from £50 to £365.
Sorry this is just wrong do we get reduced fees for our £8000 ? what help and benefit is it to our area?
Now only three Directors could vote on this, as one is from Strathpeffer originally and the other two declared a interest as they were members of the club?

The Lochluichart Community Trust aims to support projects that make a difference to life in, and seek improvement in, the local community, through the development and regeneration of the area. We are keen to support community and voluntary organisations that are charitable, educational, philanthropic or benevolent in purpose, with an emphasis on projects that will provide improvements for younger generations.
